About data entry

From The SROI Network VOIS Database
Jump to: navigation, search

The SROI Network will be responsible for administration and retains control over access to the database including the option to limit, restrict or stop access. Members can become involved in governance of both the Network and the management of the database.

New entries

New entries can be added by anyone. You will need to create an account to do so. It is not necessary to complete all fields in an entry.

Discussions

Discussions on entries are open to anyone. Again you will need to have created an account to contribute.

Edits

Existing entries can be edited, or added to, only by members of the SROI Network.

Entry statuses

Entries have one of three statuses:

  • Incomplete
  • Complete and Unapproved
  • Approved

Incomplete

An entry is incomplete when any of it's required fields are missing, or when it is not associated with an entry further up the hierarchy (e.g. an Outcome has no Stakeholder, or an Indicator has no Outcome).

Complete and Unapproved

Once all the fields for an entry have been completed, and it is linked to the relevant entries above it in the hierarchy it becomes complete but also unapproved. The SROI Network is developing protocols for approving entries.

Approved

The entry is now approved and no longer opened for editing.

Initial content

The initial content on VOIS Wiki was developed as part of work on the SROI Project for the Scottish Government. Information from this source has been included as WikiVOIS's initial content.
